A New Direction for HAS

Founded in 1936, Harrogate Archaeology Society has a long history of providing top-class archaeological education for adults. However, with falling attendance and a backdrop which includes the axing of A-level archaeology from the curriculum, the future of HAS was very much in doubt.
Today, in 2017, a band of volunteers have come together to save the society from closure and to help steer HAS in a new direction: out into the field.
